Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to provide participants with an overview of what
can be achieved with Microsoft Access. The course will provide participants with
a basic understanding of Database Design. Participants will be provided with the
skills required to build a simple database, including tables, relationships,
basic forms, basic select
queries, filter a database and basic reporting.
Who Should Attend: Participants should either be newcomers, those making the transition from an
older version, or those who are self taught in Access, and wanting to "fill
in the gaps" and learn faster and smarter ways of working with Access. A knowledge of Windows is required, and attendees must be
competent with the keyboard and mouse.

Lookup (drop down) fields in a table and form
Adding,
Deleting and Editing Data
Manipulating the Datasheet View
Creating
Forms using AutoForm and the Form Wizards
Creating
Select Queries. Including OR queries, AND queries and wildcards
Relating
Tables to retrieve information from more than one Table, including Enforced
Referential Integrity and then Querying more than one Table
Find,
Filter and Sort Data
Creating
Reports, using AutoReport and Report Wizards
The database created
will be emailed to course participants at the end of the course, as
reference.
Duration: Three or more
people a full 6 hour course. One or two people will need 2 or 3 two hour
sessions.
